Final Walk-Through Inspection
The final walk-through, usually the day before or day of closing, confirms agreed repairs are complete, contingencies are satisfied, and the property is in the expected condition.
Closing
At closing you, the seller, and the closing agent sign settlement documents. You’ll finalize loan paperwork and deposit the remaining down payment and closing funds to escrow via certified check or electronic wire as specified on the settlement statement. After recording at the County Recorder’s office, you’ll officially take ownership.

Tips For Buying
Don’t Max Out Your Budget
Approval for a maximum loan amount isn’t a recommendation to spend it all. Reserve funds for closing costs, taxes, maintenance, and potential repairs or renovations.
Get To Know The Area
Confirm neighborhood fit — schools, commute, shopping, and long-term resale prospects matter.
Don’t Skip The Inspection
A thorough inspection reveals hidden issues, gives negotiating leverage, and provides peace of mind.

Get Pre-Approved
A lender pre-approval signals to sellers that you’re a serious buyer and prepared to move quickly.
